Cuddles. (HB Independent / February 26, 2013)

At 10 months old, this boy is still a youngster, and certainly a puppy at heart. Cuddles is a pit bull mix, found as a stray around Thanksgiving. His facial markings resemble those of the Little Rascals' Pete, or Bullseye, the department store mascot, but Cuddles hasn't yet discovered his claim to fame.

Exuberant in his kennel, he also loves to play tug-of-war with his leash. Once outside for a stroll, however, he mellows considerably. He has already learned to sit, but will naturally need more training. Cuddles is a friendly guy — befitting his name — with a quizzical expression on his face, seeming to ask, "What are we going to do now?" Once neutered, this healthy pup will be ready to go home.

Cuddles' adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit http://www.ochumanesociety.com.
