Readers may remember Sonny from a column last April. We’d like to remind you that he still awaits his chance for the right home. This nine-year-old Akita mix has a handsome golden-brown fur coat.

He is easy to walk on leash, house-trained and well-behaved around other dogs. Give him a chance to roll in the grass and he is a most happy guy. Except for needing regular medication for glaucoma, Sonny is healthy and neutered. He’s gained some weight in recent months and would benefit from more exercise. Sonny is dearly loved by shelter volunteers, but we are all eager for him to enjoy his “golden years” in a caring home environment.
