Daisy and Minnie. (HB Independent / February 12, 2013)

These two little cuties would love to be your valentines. Daisy and Minnie are year-old Chihuahua mixes, sadly surrendered last month by their owner, who had financial reverses. Since then, these girls have endeared themselves to shelter volunteers by their funny antics and fashion-forward clothing choices.

Minnie is the "alpha" female, and Daisy is just a happy-go-lucky gal who goes with the flow. Both enjoy your attention when out for walks. They are healthy as well as house-trained, and because these sisters are very attached to one another, we are hoping to place them in the same home. Each was recently spayed, so now they are keen to venture out and bring their love into a lucky adopter's household.

Their adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit http://www.ochumanesociety.com.
