Cubby (HB Independent / February 4, 2013)

A calm and gentle Alaskan Eskimo mix, Cubby is approximately seven years young. While you first notice his beautiful coat, this dog's sweet demeanor also draws your attention.

Found recently as a stray, Cubby needed treatment for a "hot spot" on his back; now his fur is growing back nicely and he is otherwise healthy; he has been neutered. Cubby walks politely on leash and appears to interact well with other dogs who are not too boisterous. He would fit perfectly into a quiet household with his affectionate, yet not overly needy, personality.

Cubby's adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536–8480 or visit http://www.ochumanesociety.com.

Cubby's fur coat keeps him warm on these cold nights, but less well-endowed shelter dogs would appreciate your donation of washable fleece blankets and towels.
