The Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Foundation will contribute $2,000 to benefit annual art exhibitions at Gallery Q, a program at the Susi Q Senior Center.

Gallery Q, established in early 2009, offers seniors a venue for exhibiting their artwork. Now it hosts five to six shows a year, highlighting creations by students, community members, artists, teachers and participants taking art courses at the Susi Q.

This is the fifth time the foundation has provided funds to Gallery Q. It has given an estimated $2.6 million to Laguna Beach’s art community and more than $3 million in scholarships to Laguna Beach High School graduates.

“Gallery Q is one of the programs that set us apart from other senior centers, and we wouldn’t be able to exhibit the great talent of our community if it were not for the generosity of the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Foundation,” Laguna Beach Seniors Executive Director Nadia Babayi wrote in a release.
