Trend Watch: Get your juice on

Share

I’m a big fan of juicing, so I recently checked out Ritual Juice Box at The Camp, which opened a couple of weeks ago.

Ritual Juice Box originated as an online juicing cleanse business, Ritual Wellness, started by Lori C. Kenyon and Marra O. St. Clair.

The company provides “superior, fresh-pressed, 100% organic vegetable and fruit juice cleanse that is packaged in environmentally sound materials and simple enough for busy people to integrate into their life,” according to its website.

Try the Spicy Greens, a blend of romaine lettuce, cucumber, celery, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, parsley and lime. And don’t sweat the spicy — the juice had a nice touch of flavor without of any of the kick. Other “Greens” juices include Green Lemon — spinach romaine lettuce, kale, celery, cucumber, green apple and lemon — and Clean Greens, a mix of cucumber, romaine, celery, kale, aloe and lemon.

There’s also lemonades to “flush toxins and curb cravings,” waters to “stimulate digestion and optimize nutrient absorption,” mylks, which the company says can be a meal replacement, and blends, juices that are blended together to fit specific needs, such as energy or balance.

Nervous? The shop offers mini-samples for people to try.

The drinks start at $4 for an 8-ounce bottle, although not all come in that size, and run up to $9 for a 16-ounce bottle of juice and $10 for a 16-ounce bottle of a mylk blends.

Ritual Juice Box is at The Camp, 2937 Bristol St., next to Taco Asylum. It’s open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
